Bernina Express
Mountain bike route over the Bernina Pass – the climbs can be shortened with the Rhaetian Railway.
Bernina Pass
A great mountain bike route over the Bernina Pass. As the Rhaetian Railway runs alongside the bike route, you can easily take the train for the climbs and, depending on your time, ride only parts of the route.
For example as a day trip: take the train from Celerina Staz up to the Bernina Pass (Ospizio Bernina). From there, ride down to Poschiavo first, take the train back up to the pass and then ride the flow trail back down to Celerina. The really tough ones skip the train and do the climbs under their own steam.
Or as a shorter evening ride: take the train to the Diavolezza valley station and ride the flow trail back to Celerina.
